LA LUPE: MY LIFE, MY DESTINY
La Lupe: My Life, My Destiny by New York playwright Carmen Rivera, was Martice's Summer 2004 musical hit. This was only the second time this show has ever been produced and the Dallas production turned out to be a bigger production than the one in New York. Martice assembled local top artists, including director, performers, musicians, crew, set, lighting and sound technicians to bring this Off-Broadway hit back to life. It was Martice's first ever musical and drama and pre-production of this show started in late Summer 2002. It was very clear to Martice that this production will be very costly, therefore raising money for La Lupe became a priority. La Lupe: My Life, My Destiny debuted in New York City in 2001.
What the critics said about La Lupe: My Life, My Destiny:
"Delilah throws herself into an effervescent, uninhibited portrayal of this proud, powerful musician....And the Latin Jazz Ensemble from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts provides solid backup."
- The Dallas Morning News
"You may not be a salsa fan and you might not know a thing about the real La Lupe. But after seeing the fiery production of "La Lupe: My Life, My Destiny" (Martice Enterprises), you will love the Cuban-born queen of salsa who once ignited Latin rhythms with such dynamism....From a production standpoint, "La Lupe" is flawless."
- The Dallas Voice
"(Delilah) is a wonder, with a voice and personality big enough to warrant her own fan following. Backing up Delilah on 14 high-energy songs from the La Lupe catalog is the dynamite Latin Jazz Ensemble from Booker T. Washington High School."
- The Dallas Observer
"The Mexican-American Delilah fiercely injects herself with La Lupe's frenzied charisma and sexual intensity."

PICO DE GALLO: THE COMEDY CON SPICE!
Pico de Gallo: The Comedy con Spice! by Oscar Contreras, Marco Rodriguez, Christopher Espinosa and Israel Luna, was a brand new sketch comedy / cabaret / singing show dealing with the “Melting Pot” in United States and how food brings all our different cultures together. Pico de Gallo was written, directed and produced by local Latino talent and starred a multi-cultural cast. Pico de Gallo was written specifically to raise money for La Lupe: My Life, My Destiny. Martice wanted a little show of their own to keep costs low in order to raise funds for La Lupe. They met with the writers to discuss what the show was going to be about. There was only one idea on the table. The show was going to feature a drag queen as the main character. Enter the writers: Chris Espinosa is a comedian/writer founder of Sky Rocket Press and Israel Luna is a screenwriter/director founder of La Luna Entertainment, a film production company. Marco Rodriguez is Martice's co-producer/actor and Oscar Contreras is a director/actor that had written a few short stories before, but had never been produced. Pico de Gallo was Marco Rodriguez and Oscar Contreras' writing debut. Pico de Gallo was also Oscar Contreras' directorial debut. To Martice's delight, Pico de Gallo was a hit, with sold-out shows and critical acclaim. Martice developed a Christmas version of Pico de Gallo, which performed for one night on December 11 2003. Martice has also performed Pico de Gallo for Southern Methodist University, FDIC and Hispanic Women's Network.
What the critics said about Pico de Gallo:
“…the tiny Martice Enterprises acting troupe delivers more sassy, funny, provocative entertainment than many local theaters do with big budgets and huge productions in a whole season…short in funds they may be, but man, they’re loaded with talent.”
- Elaine Liner, The Dallas Observer
“Pico de Gallo, a zesty treat… It’s refreshingly honest…”
- Tom Sime, The Dallas Morning News
“Pico de Gallo is one spicy show.”
- Perry Stewart, The Fort Worth Star Telegram
“…original, funny, provocative. It’s slickly produced and well-costumed.”
- Robert Ross, The Dallas Voice
LATINOLOGUES
Latinologues by Rick Najera was Martice's first production ever. It's a hilarious look at the Latino experience in the United States. The show is a cabaret-style production with two actors.
It was named "Best Debut by a New Acting Company" in the Dallas Observer's Best of Dallas edition 2002 and "TOP 5 Productions of 2002" by The Dallas Voice. Marco Rodriguez and Otis Gray portray all of the characters, from an overprotective mother who thinks her son is a vampire, to a Mexican Moses who's re-written the commandments to fit Latino needs. Each of the characters deal with issues impacting the Latino community.
What the critics said about Latinologues:
“…For the level of energy and skill they exhibited, they could just as well have been onstage at Carnegie Hall. It was the kind of show that left theatergoers looking at their programs going, 'who are these guys?". They are that good.”
-Elaine Liner, The Dallas Observer ,Best Of Dallas 2003
“Latinologues is back, better than ever.…”
- Tom Sime, The Dallas Morning News
“Rapid-fire comedy…insightful, irreverent and often bawdy take on Hispanic culture.”
